An Update on the 2024 Issue of Pivot

Hello to all of Pivot's readers, contributors, and submitters. As the new editors of Pivot, we wanted to provide you with an update on our planned 2024 issue, "Speculating Exile: Literary Estrangements and Fugitive Belongings".

 

In June of 2024, Pivot sent out a Call for Papers that asked for your critical and creative submissions to our Journal. In October 2024, the deadline was extended. Although we received a number of excellent submissions, however, the previous editorial team was unable to see the issue to completion due to personal and academic commitments.

 

Recently, though, we have been onboarded as Pivot's new editors, and we have made it our mission to publish this planned issue. We are currently in the process of finding peer reviewers to judge outstanding submissions, after which we will begin contacting submitters with finals decisions regarding their work.

 

We apologize for not providing an update sooner; we know it is difficult waiting for responses and we regret that we were unable to address this until now. In light of these extenuating circumstances, if you have submitted to Pivot and would like to have your work revoked for any reason, or if you have any questions at all, please reach out to us at journalpivot@gmail.com.
